Balance Sports Massage

Website build for a Wimbledon sports and remedial massage clinic, structured around the symptoms people actually search for and built to convert enquiries into booked appointments.

Project at a glance
The brief

What the client needed

Balance Sports Massage is a specialist clinic in Wimbledon led by a Level 5 sports and remedial therapist with more than a decade of practice and thousands of treatments behind her. The clinic offers nine distinct therapies, from sports and remedial massage through to medical acupuncture, myofascial release, lymphatic drainage and pregnancy massage, and treats a client base that ranges from semi-professional athletes preparing for marathons and IRONMANs to office workers with chronic back pain.

The problem was that almost nobody searches for a therapy by name. People search for the thing that hurts. The site needed to meet visitors at their symptom — back pain, sciatica, hip and knee pain, RSI, post-surgery rehab — and route them to the right treatment, while still presenting the clinical depth and accreditation that justifies a specialist’s pricing over a high-street massage.

The solution

What we built

We built the site on WordPress and Elementor around two parallel routes in. A symptom-led ‘Get help with’ layer lets visitors start from their complaint, while a full therapy library gives each of the nine treatments its own page for those who know what they want. Five outcome-based entry points — learn, relax, perform, pain and injury — sit on the homepage to catch visitors who fall between the two.

Trust-building runs throughout: SMA, CNHC and STO accreditation badges, therapist credentials, and a dedicated reviews page carrying client testimonials with their sporting and professional context. Around the core sit a booking flow, a workshop sign-up, a resources library, an FAQ and a clinic blog, plus a dedicated South West London landing page targeting the wider catchment beyond Wimbledon itself. The build is mobile-first, with tap-to-call in the footer for people booking on a phone.

The result

What changed

The clinic ranks in the top four organic results for sports massage wimbledon and second for wimbledon clinic massage — the searches that matter most for a local practice taking bookings.

The catchment strategy has paid off too. The dedicated South West London page holds third place for south west london massage, massage south west london and massage in south west london, and fourth for sports massage south london, pulling in enquiries from well beyond the immediate area and ranking independently of the homepage.
